Case study
For the dynamic spatial experience of Teible at Jameel Arts Centre, we were commissioned to design and manufacture a suite of functional yet poetic elements: custom trays and a bespoke toilet sign crafted from DATEFORM, ARDH Collective’s signature sustainable composite made from repurposed date seeds.
The trays were precision-cut and finished to reveal the rich, tactile grain of DATEFORM, offering guests both utility and a subtle reminder of the region’s cultural and ecological heritage. The toilet sign, designed with clarity and restraint, employs laser-etched typography that balances legibility with an understated aesthetic, allowing the material’s texture to remain a central visual protagonist. Its form and finish were calibrated to harmonise with the architectural language of the Teible space, offering a wayfinding element that feels both considered and intrinsic to the environment.
Made with precision and care in the Emirates, each piece embodies a commitment to craft, context, and material intelligence.
