Case study
‘DXBDW25 Information Desk’ is an installation designed by Harlequin Design for Dubai Design Week 2025. DATEFORM’s “It’s Roasted” was seamlessly integrated into the space, intricately manufactured by ARDH Collective.
For Dubai Design Week, the information desk served as a vital point of arrival, a grounded moment amid the city’s annual celebration of ideas. The structure called for a material from the region and their choice was DATEFORM, a material shaped from the region’s own date seeds and reimagined for contemporary design. With its subtle texture and warm earthbound tone, DATEFORM carried the local narrative the team sought, and was rooted, responsible, and unmistakably tied to its environment.
Used for the totems and the desks, DATEFORM formed the installation’s core architectural elements, offering a refined surface that echoed Dubai Design Week’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. In a landscape defined by global voices, it was a material with a distinctly local heartbeat, integrated with intention, crafted with care, and brought to life by ARDH Collective.
